Goal

Students live mainly in the digital world, but continue to have a strong presence in the analog space. How can we bridge the gap between the analog Five Star experience with a digital experience?

The Challenge

As the sole designer, I was tasked to design a digital and analog experience for Five Star®’s first smart product and mobile application.

Five Star®’s brand tenants were used to guide our product development and strategy.

Problem Statement

Students struggle with organizing and prioritizing their notes throughout the year and tend to consolidate content when a deadline is approaching.

Scan & Organize Prototype

Scan & Organize Notes

Students can identify important notes by marking the triangle symbols on their Five Star notebook page. The app scans the identified notes, enhances the scan and extracts the marked notes into digital flashcards.
